When it’s warm, many also offer cosy spots in the courtyard or vineyard. The house wines are accompanied by traditional dishes such as platter snacks, smoked meats and spreads.
“Heurige” and “Buschenschank” – these terms mean more or less the same thing. Many winegrowers mark when they are open with a wreath of straw or a bunch of brushwood on the façade. This is where the local term “ausg’steckt” comes from.
