From the city to the vineyards and back. This gravel route offers numerous natural and cultural surprises, beautiful views and plenty of wine taverns to stop off at!

In a matter of minutes, you can get from the hustle and bustle of the city along the Traisen to the peaceful surroundings of St. Pölten. The first few flat kilometers along the river are ideal for cycling in and forgetting everyday life. After Herzogenburg - a visit to the abbey is worthwhile! - you cycle gravel-perfect on narrow country lanes - partly asphalted, partly gravel - through the vineyards of the lower Traisental. The castles of Sitzenberg-Reidling and Traismauer offer culture, with a section through the Ahrenberg wine cellar lane in between to whet your appetite for a visit to a wine tavern.

Over the Paraplui mountain (the name says it all -> umbrella (view!) and the vineyards of Nussdorf ob Traisen and Inzersdorf ob Traisen, there are also a few meters in altitude before you reach the Traisental cycle route again via Herzogenburg and cycle comfortably to St. Pölten. Before reaching the city center, it is worth taking a dip in the cool waters of Lake Ratzersdorf.
