From the municipal office, walk through the village to the Gstettenäcker estate road. Walk along this for about one kilometer in an open field. On a forest path, you then cross a forest glade slightly uphill and come to a farm track. Turn right and you are immediately at the Kreuzriedel (Sonnwend-Platz). From the south side of the small Mugel (a rest area invites you to linger) you can enjoy the view over the wide valley on the north side of the Jauerling or northwest over the ridge around Braunegg. To the north-east of Riedel, continue along the forest path to Bildföhre. Turn right here and then right again after a few hundred meters and you are soon on the meadows of the Leesterin, which are surrounded by forest. Now slightly downhill and then again briefly through the forest until you reach the elevated reservoir of the village of Raxendorf (where you can enjoy another beautiful view over the valley). Then you walk down into the village and arrive at the starting point.
