Our almost six-kilometre hike through the "Valley of Sundials" is a tribute to the politician Dr. Jörg Mauthe. Quotes from his books - selected by well-known personalities from the worlds of art, culture and politics - accompany our route. At the magnificent fortified church of St. Stephanus with its valuable Gothic stained glass windows, we hike up the Hausberg to the Zehentfeld, a high meadow with a view of the Mollenburg; we follow the Hausbergstraße through meadows and forests and encounter the partially renovated Mollenburg, later cross the Hausbergbach stream and return to Weiten via a wonderful meadow path to the Prangerplatz and the "Dr. Jörg Mauthe Millennium Sundial". The hiking trail is uniformly signposted with yellow signs throughout.
