Our Buschenschank (typical tavern) is located on wine cellar lane in Prellenkirchen, 2 km outside of town toward Edelstal—the neighboring village—at the foot of the Spitzerberg, nestled among vineyards and rolling grain fields. The cellar was built in the 17th century and has been in our family’s possession since 1924. We offer not only select quality wines from our vineyards in the Carnuntum region, but also hearty and delicious dishes such as roast pork, marinated roast, blood sausage, and smoked meats—all from our own in-house butchery. Various cheeses, spreads, and sweet treats made according to Grandma’s recipes—such as “Hausfreunde” and “Schmerstrudel”—round out our extensive selection of food and drink.
The Gratzer-Sandriester Winery cultivates approximately 6 hectares of vineyards located on the Spitzerberg in Prellenkirchen. The climatic conditions of the Spitzerberg provide the ideal environment for quality-oriented viticulture, which the family has been practicing for several years. What matters most: a love of wine, an understanding of how it’s made, and respect for nature.
