Description
The one and a half kilometer long circular trail "The Red Thread" lets you experience the history of the town of Melk - with its historical sights from the remains of the medieval town wall to the "most beautiful post office in Austria" and the famous "Kachelvilla".
Augus Prinzl - a Melk original from days gone by - tells stories about the individual sights.
The audio tracks can be accessed via smartphones using the QR codes on the steles and information boards along the route.
