Enjoy the Wachau at a leisurely pace!
Thanks to the Wachau’s public transportation system, the region is easily accessible and enjoyable even without a car. On the north bank, buses run hourly; on the south bank, they run every two hours. The three Danube ferries allow you to cross between the north and south banks at any time.
With the Wachau Day Pass, for just €13, you can use buses on lines 715, 717, 718, 719, 720, and 721 between Melk and Krems for one day. In addition, use of the three Danube ferries is included for passengers (fees for vehicles are charged separately). For children up to age 15, the day pass costs €6.50.
