Hiking tour Starting from Ybbs, Main Square
The blue city circuit starts at the town square and leads along the Ybbs cycle path. Continue through the middle of an allotment garden, Fabriksstraße, the traffic circle, Bachgasse, Burgwiesenring, Stadtgrabenweg and past schools. 250m further along Stauwerkstraße (main road) on the sidewalk to Persenbeugerstraße past the therapy center. Follow the Danube back to the starting point.

Please note the following tips and guidelines:
· Stay on the marked trails.
· Wear hiking boots.
· Use hiking poles.
· Rain gear is always advisable.
· Bring a hiking map with you.
· Carry enough drinking water with you.
· Please do not leave your trash behind on the trail.
· Respect the sensitive habitats of flora and fauna.
You undertake the suggested hikes at your own risk and on your own responsibility.
We recommend hiking boots, a backpack, a hiking map and/or a mobile route planner, weatherproof clothing (e.g., rain gear), a hat, sunscreen, a first-aid kit, possibly a flashlight, and enough food and drink to keep your energy up (water, snacks).
The blue city loop starts at Stadtplatz and follows the Ybbs Bike Path. It continues through an allotment garden complex, along Fabriksstraße, past a roundabout, through Bachgasse, along Burgwiesenring, along Stadtgrabenweg, and past schools. Continue 250 meters along the sidewalk on Stauwerkstraße (the federal highway) to Persenbeugerstraße, passing the therapy center. The route then follows the Danube back to the starting point.
Parking is available at the main square or along the Ybbs Danube Promenade.
Ybbs is easily accessible via the A1 Westautobahn; take the Ybbs exit. At the roundabout, take the first exit and then continue straight ahead toward the town center.
Coming from Krems or Grein via Wachauerstraße (B3), then across the Ybbs-Persenbeug Danube Bridge; it’s about 1.5 km to the town center.
Take the ÖBB to the Ybbs/Kemmelbach train station ( check the schedule). From the station, take the bus to the center of Ybbs an der Donau. You can find bus schedules at www.vor.at
