This enjoyable cycle tour for wine lovers starts at Bruck an der Leitha train station and leads via Wilfleinsdorf, Stixneusiedl, Trautmannsdorf and Gallbrunn. Historic wine cellar lanes, cozy wine taverns and traditional wine villages such as Arbesthal, Göttlesbrunn and Höflein characterize the route. The Arbesthaler Hügelland with its vineyards offers beautiful views and rest stops before returning to Bruck an der Leitha.

Bruck – Wilfleinsdorf – Stixneusiedl – Trautmannsdorf – Gallbrunn – Arbesthal – Göttlesbrunn – Höflein – Bruck
The starting point for this tour—which is especially beautiful for wine lovers—is the Bruck an der Leitha train station. From here, the route takes you to Wilfleinsdorf and Stixneusiedl. Next along the route are the towns of Trautmannsdorf and Gallbrunn. After passing through Gallbrunn, you’ll reach Stixneusiedl again. The historic wine cellar lane in Stixneusiedl, like the village itself, boasts a history stretching back over 700 years. Here, at the “Zur Kellergasse” bike rest stop, you’ll have a chance to catch your breath and grab a bite to eat.
The tour continues toward Arbesthal. Arbesthal’s wine cellar lane is nearly one kilometer long, with the oldest part dating back to 1677. How about a detour to one of the cozy wine taverns?
The charming wine village of Göttlesbrunn, nestled in the heart of the Carnuntum wine-growing region, is also waiting to be explored. Several small, wildly romantic wine cellar lanes await you. On the ride to Höflein, the Arbesthal hills—which shape the landscape and viticulture—enchant with their beautiful vineyards. In Höflein, you can take a break at the “Römerblick” bike rest area and enjoy a magnificent view. The wine trail is located right next to the picturesque “Hoher Weg” wine cellar lane, which features a show cellar and a grapevine variety garden, and provides interesting information about viticulture in Carnuntum.
From Höflein, the route heads back toward Bruck an der Leitha, which offers a variety of sights, such as the medieval city center, Prugg Castle (viewing from the outside only), and the idyllic Harrachpark—which is open to the public and features rare trees. The tour ends at the starting point: Bruck/Leitha Train Station.
