The Sculpture Trail is an easy-to-walk loop—or section of a loop—between Paudorf and Höbenbach, where you’ll discover numerous works of art along the way.

From Paudorf’s market square, follow the path along the Höbenbach stream. The approximately 40 sculptures are situated along this path; they were created during international woodcarving symposia (1997–2012) and installed on-site. Continue through Eggendorf toward Höbenbach (the trail is marked and easy to follow). Once you arrive in Höbenbach, the trail leads along the road toward Meidling or continues directly through the village, depending on the route you choose. If you’re doing a loop, follow the trail from Höbenbach back through a stretch of forest: Turn left onto a forest road into the woods; after a short while, you’ll come to a larger cross-path; turn sharply left there, and this will lead you out of the forest and back to the village.

The trail then passes by the cemetery on its way to Hellerhof (with St. Altmann Church and the Hellerhof Chapel)—a worthwhile stop before you return to the starting point. Take the Hellerhofweg back to Höbenbach, then follow the familiar path again to the Paudorf market square.

A1 West Highway → Krems exit → S33 toward Krems → Göttweig/Paudorf exit

Either take bus 487 or 486 from the Krems/Donau train station to Paudorf Elementary School, or take the regional train from the Krems/Donau train station to Paudorf, then take the bus to Paudorf Elementary School.www.vor.at
