Treating other forest users and hunting and forestry staff with respect is just as important as keeping the area free of litter. The Biker Fair Play Rules are intended to reinforce these principles and can be found both on printed maps and on various websites. Here are the rules in detail:

• Use of the marked bike routes is permitted only during the contractually specified times: March and October from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; April and September from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; May through August from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Treat landowners, hunters, and forest staff with respect!
• Be considerate of other forest users!
• Ride at a controlled speed, keeping your distance!
• Be cautious of machinery, logs, or potholes on the road, grazing livestock, and motor vehicle traffic (forest roads are operational areas and workplaces)!
• Obey traffic laws!
• Help keep the natural environment clean!
• Check your equipment and wear a helmet!
• Cycling off-route and outside of authorized times is illegal. Observe no-riding zones and road closures!
• Use of the bike routes is at your own risk!

Take the A1 to Melk and then the B3 to Weißenkirchen, or take the S5 or S33 to Krems and then the B3 to Weißenkirchen.
