The Steinbachklamm loop leads uphill along the asphalt road to the Winklermühle mill. The route continues along a narrow path up the Steinbachklamm gorge, where you often have to cross the Steinbach over rustic bridges. Uniquely located, the town of Marbach lies in the Nibelungengau, shaped by the Danube current, at the western gateway to the Wachau. Picturesque holiday resort on the Wachau road and the Danube shore railway, between forest and Mostviertel, one hour by car from Vienna, Marbach is the ideal starting point for many excursions. A variety of well-known cultural rarities invites you to discover our region. Marbach's water sports club offers opportunities for water skiing, wakeboarding, and sport and sailing boat trips.
Bike paths on both sides of the Danube and in the side valleys invite you to explore the many sights and cultural monuments by bike.
