Hiking tour Starting from Marbach, Boat Landing
The KIA loop "Donaublick Runde" leads downhill along the Danube for the first 500m. After a slight uphill section, you have a beautiful view of Maria Taferl. From there, you return to the starting point on a low-traffic goods road and through the center of Marbach.

Please note the following tips and guidelines:
· Stay on the marked trails.
· Wear hiking boots.
· Use hiking poles.
· Rain gear is always advisable.
· Bring a hiking map with you.
· Carry enough drinking water with you.
· Please do not leave your trash behind on the trail.
· Respect the sensitive habitats of flora and fauna.
You undertake the suggested hikes at your own risk and on your own responsibility.
We recommend hiking boots, a backpack, a hiking map and/or a mobile route planner, weatherproof clothing (e.g., rain gear), a hat, sunscreen, a first-aid kit, possibly a flashlight, and enough food and drink to keep your energy up (water, snacks).
The KIA "Donaublick Runde" route runs downhill along the Danube for the first 500 meters. After a slight uphill stretch, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of Maria Taferl. From there, the route follows a farm road with little traffic and passes through the center of Marbach before returning to the starting point.
Parking is available in town and at the Marbach boat dock.
Marbach is accessible via the A1 Westautobahn; take the Pöchlarn exit. At the exit, take the first exit at the roundabout, then turn left after about 1 km toward the Danube Bridge. Cross the bridge, then keep left onto Wachauerstraße (B3). The road leads directly to Marbach.
Coming from Krems or Grein via Wachauerstraße (B3), continue straight ahead; the road leads directly to Marbach.
Take the ÖBB train to the Pöchlarn station— check the schedule. From the station, take the bus to Marbach— www.vor.at.
