A particularly sporty and enjoyable cycle tour, just outside Vienna.
Just outside the gates of Vienna, there is a very special cycle tour for sporty connoisseurs, ideally on an e-trekking bike or e-MTB. Over a length of 33.5 km, the Klosterneuburg pleasure bike tour impresses with its route through the Eichenhain adventure park, a fantastic view of Klosterneuburg and the Danube. You also pass the Klosterneuburg vineyard landscape and enjoy the varied route, often on the attractive trekking and MTB route network around the entire Klosterneuburg area. The ride is rounded off on the mostly gravelled and partly flat, partly hilly route downhill to the section along the beautiful blue Danube. There are several places to stop for refreshments on this scenic circular tour, making it an extremely enjoyable cycling experience.

Warning:
You will be traveling partly on official MTB-Trekking trails, as well as partly on paved bike paths. However, it is generally important to check the functionality of brakes and tires before every ride. Always ride with hazard awareness and controlled speed, and choose trails suited to the skill level of the group and the weather conditions. Fair play rules apply in the forest and traffic regulations must be observed. If there are stones, roots, or steep sections on the trail, when in doubt simply dismount and walk your bike.
The route starts at Happyland, where from the parking lot you turn left onto the bike path, via Niedermarkt and through Hundskehle to Rathausplatz. Past Klosterneuburg Monastery, the route continues via Leopoldstrasse and Franz Rumpler Strasse to the Schwarzes Kreuz, then to the church in Weidling, and via Lenaugasse and Reichergasse into Erlebnispark Eichenhain to Hohenauer Wiese – along the Babenberger Trail to Windischhütte. At Windischhütte, go downhill to the main road – then turn right towards Hintersdorf along state road 2119, past the church – right onto Plöckingstrasse – downhill to the Maria Gugging roundabout – through the ISTA grounds to Redlinger Hütte – continue towards Weißer Hof to Hadersfeld and down to Kritzendorf station, where the route merges into the MTB loop Kritzendorf – from there to the Danube and downstream back to the starting point.
The route is consistently signposted with "Klosterneuburger Genussradtour"!
There is a large parking lot directly at the Happyland leisure center.
Access via the B14.
