Jakobsweg Donau: Etappe 1 Purkersdorf – Siegersdorf

The starting point of the Way of St. James is in Purkersdorf, near the beautiful parish church of St. James. After visiting the church, walk past it on the left to reach Kaiser-Josef Street. Follow this street until you can turn right onto Berggasse. This path leads into the Biosphere Reserve, over the Troppberg, and on to Ried am Riederberg. After Ried, you’ll reach the outskirts of the Tullnerfeld in Sieghartskirchen. The destination of this stage is Siegersdorf, where, in addition to a St. James fountain, a self-catering pilgrim cabin invites you to rest and relax.
