Mountain bike tour Starting from On the east side of Göttweig Abbey, across from parking lot P4
"As fast as the fire department" is what we say here in the region when we mean the highest level of urgency - ASAP - a moderately difficult trail with some classic challenges, such as small steps that you can roll or drop, a stone field, a Northshore element, fast and slow bends and a nice jump out of the forest at the very end. In the lower part you will find two variants - the easy one to the right and the challenging one to the left (please ride particularly carefully and defensively so that you can assess whether this section is within your comfort zone).

You may use the hiking trail for the last few meters before it joins the Villenweg. Please ride carefully, be considerate, and proceed at walking speed. Hikers have the right of way here.
To park your car, we recommend Parking Lot P5 on the access road to the abbey. It’s located right next to the Göttweig Base trail area, which serves as a central starting point for all our trails.
Another good parking option is located behind the abbey, near the playground.
Camping is prohibited in all parking lots and throughout the entire abbey grounds!
