The "New Castle" was built between 1622 and 1630. After an eventful history, the Thiery family has transformed the historic building into a luxury hotel with much love and dedication. Today, siblings Maria Katharina Thiery-Schroll and Johannes Christian Thiery are the third generation to run the hotel. Everything here is stylish and dignified down to the smallest detail - without losing the character that seems to have fallen out of time. Be it the castle spa, the rooms or the first-class food and wine in the castle restaurant with its Danube terrace.

Dürnstein as a whole is a sight to behold. From the magnificent baroque church and the characteristic blue tower to the Dürnstein ruins and the picturesque old town. Spitz, Weißenkirchen and Rossatz are no less charming, but not quite as touristy.
