Description
The Oppelmayer winery has been in the family for 11 generations since 1638, making it one of the oldest wineries in Carnuntum. You can feel the beautiful combination of tradition and individuality in the aura of this winery, which carefully cultivates 12 hectares of vineyards, and also in the labels, which feature watercolors painted by the winemaker himself. High quality for maximum enjoyment is important to Franz Oppelmayer and the fact that his wines have been awarded state and national prizes proves this combination right. The Oppelmayer winery has already been represented eleven times at the Austrian Wine Salon, three times with the Rubin Carnuntum. Franz Oppelmayer's favorite variety is Sauvignon Blanc, which impresses with its complexity and elegance. This wine has also found its way into the Austrian Wine Salon eight times.
