Description
The winery cultivates around 17 hectares of vineyards as well as apricot and apple orchards in the Wachau, particularly in the renowned Ried Süssenberg vineyard - one of the top sites in the region. Tradition and innovation have been combined here since 1848 in the fourth generation of the Dürauer family.
The wines come from different quality levels and reflect typical Wachau characteristics - mineral, precise and full-bodied. The wines are available directly from the farm, and you can select and order from the range at your leisure in the wine store on the website.
Among others, the Riesling Furth Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German) DAC 2023 and Roter Veltliner Göttweigerberg 2023 were awarded prizes at the AWC Vienna. In addition, the winery has been certified as a "Sustainable Austria" winery since the 2020 vintage, for which environmentally oriented and social measures were rewarded.
Winzerhof Dürauer combines traditional viticulture, a seasonal wine tavern and comfortable accommodation in one family-run business - all in one place, directly below Göttweig Abbey. Guests can taste and buy regional wines here and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay at the same time.
