The Melk 11 boat landing is centrally located in the oxbow lake. From there, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Melk Abbey.

This Danube station can be reached safely and conveniently on foot from the main road or from the center of Melk.
At the “Gateway to the Wachau,” the world-famous Baroque Melk Abbey towers high above the Danube. For more than 1,000 years, Melk has been the spiritual and cultural center of the region, first as a Babenberg castle and then, from 1089 onward, as a Benedictine monastery. To this day, the town has preserved its old, compact townscape: romantic alleys, Renaissance townhouses, historic town towers, and remnants of the town wall. Culture is a top priority in Melk. Events known far beyond the Wachau region, such as the International Baroque Days with the Melk Pentecost Concerts and the Summer Theater Festival, are held here.
