The Dürnstein 22 boat landing is located on the left bank of the Danube. The historic district of Dürnstein is within easy walking distance. Here you’ll also find numerous shopping and lodging options. Dürnstein, the pearl of the Wachau, is a romantic little town with crenellated walls and towers. In this nearly traffic-free town, the legend of the English King Richard the Lionheart—who mocked the Austrian flag during a crusade and was consequently imprisoned in the castle dungeon—is ever-present.

The Hotel Schloss Dürnstein served as a filming location for the popular TV series "Donauprinzessin." Those who climb the ruins of Kuenringerburg Castle are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view. Nevertheless, it is worth taking a closer look at the former Augustinian monastery with its striking blue church tower. The new permanent exhibition "Discovering What Is Valuable" invites you to immerse yourself in the spiritual program that underpins the building and to reflect on "The Good—The Beautiful—The True."

A scenic train takes you through Dürnstein past the sights. The numerous restaurants and wine taverns invite you to enjoy regional delicacies and taste the excellent Wachau wines.
