A Wachau work of art in terms of architectural history and culinary delights!

The estate of Barbara and Karl Holzapfel, built 700 years ago as a reading farm and later baroqueized by the builder of Melk Abbey, Jakob Prandtauer, is home to one of the best wineries in the Wachau, an award-winning distillery for fine distillates and a top-class restaurant.
Particularly charming: the romantic inner courtyard with its arcades and the estate's own chapel for weddings and christenings.

Creative, down-to-earth local specialties and classics made primarily from regional ingredients are served in a rustic atmosphere.
