Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the Baroque and let yourself be touched by the beauty of Prince Eugene's country estate in Marchfeld! Discover the magnificent palace, the unique baroque gardens and the idyllic estate with its flora and fauna. Schloss Hof was already famous as a venue for glittering events in the prince's time. Today, this tradition of opulent entertainment is continued with numerous events and festivals for the whole family as well as annually changing special exhibitions.

Once owned by Prince Eugene and Maria Theresa, Schloss Hof is now one of Lower Austria’s most popular excursion destinations. With a diverse program of events, the magnificent palace complex invites visitors to immerse themselves in its imperial heritage all year round.

Magnificent rooms and special exhibitions that change annually bring history to life. In the Baroque garden, artfully designed flower beds, water features, and 35,000 flowers create a vibrant, colorful experience.

The historic estate is home to around 200 animals, including rare domestic breeds such as the white Baroque donkey.

For children, the grounds become a place of experience: a water adventure trail, a balance bike course, playgrounds, a wooden marble run, as well as guided tours and workshops invite them to explore and experience everything the estate has to offer.

SPECIAL EXHIBITION 2026: Playful Symmetry—The Baroque Garden as a Work of Art

through November 2, 2026

Taking the gardens at Schloss Hof as its starting point, this special exhibition explores various aspects that characterized the Baroque gardens of the nobility and the imperial family. What design elements, such as sculptures or plants, were used? The special exhibition also explores technical innovations used to enhance princely festivities in the gardens (water features, fireworks, etc.). The gardens served as places of pleasure and relaxation, but were also a means of demonstrating power and wealth—this is illustrated through various examples.

For the first time, the special exhibition spans nearly the entire grounds of Schloss Hof—truly embodying a comprehensive Baroque experience.
