At Home by the Stream - Wachau: Stay where stories come to life.
Our family-run inn is located in the historic town of Aggsbach Markt, in the heart of the Wachau region. Situated right on the Welterbesteig Wachau - Wachau World Heritage Trail and just a few minutes’ walk from the Danube, the Aggsbach Markt train station, and the Danube cycle path, our inn is an ideal starting point for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers.
Guests on the World Heritage Trail and the Danube cycle path especially appreciate the quiet location right by the stream, the secure bike shed, the e-bike charging station, the drying facilities for hiking and cycling gear, and the personalized service.
Breakfast is available upon request and by advance reservation; vegetarian or vegan options are also welcome. Free parking is available right at the house. Assistance with luggage transport is available by arrangement.
A digital guest app is also available for our guests. It contains information about the Wachau region, excursion tips, hiking and biking suggestions, schedules, weather information, contact details, and helpful advice for your stay. A special feature of our home are the Wild Wachau Windis— Fidel, Gloria, and Pia. These three greyhounds are the main characters in the regional children’s book series “Die Wilden Wachauer Windis.” Many of the stories are set right here in Aggsbach Markt, making a stay with us a special experience for guests of all ages. Out of consideration for the dogs already living in our home, we ask for your understanding that no other pets are allowed.
