Description

Göttweig Benedictine Abbey Guest House | Quiet Luxury - Luxury Silence

Göttweig Benedictine Abbey towers impressively over the Danube valley of the Wachau. Since 1083, the monks have been living, praying and working in the UNESCO World Heritage landscape according to the Benedictine motto "ora et labora et lege".

The monastery's guest house invites you to rest and contemplate - in the spirit of "quiet luxury". The Stiftsberg with its apricot and herb garden offers generous open spaces for relaxation. The almost 1000-year history of the monastery can be experienced on guided tours through the museum in the imperial wing. The five daily prayer times of the Benedictine monks offer a special way to spend your vacation. The Göttweig Abbey Restaurant serves regional culinary and vinophile specialties with a panoramic view.

The guest house has 35 overnight rooms - from simple monastic double rooms to newly designed comfort rooms, some with unique views. It offers the opportunity to experience an authentic "vacation in a monastery".
