The Tulln parish church is nearly 1000 years old and was among the early parish churches to be established by the Babenbergs. It is Romanesque at its core with a Gothic chancel and towers and an interior in Baroque style.
Along with the parish church, there is also the Late Romanesque Tulln charnel house from the mid-13th c, an ossuary with a dual Royal Chapel and the famous funnel-like portal.
Of particular note are the west portal, aka the Apostles’ Gate, as well as the five-bay nave, the high chancel and the high altar. The lovely side chapels are also impressive.
