In the historic vaults of the Ybbs Bicycle Museum - in the immediate vicinity of the Danube cycle path - visitors embark on an impressive journey through the history of the bicycle.
Wooden wheels, massive pedal bikes, spectacular penny-farthings and elegant waffle bikes from imperial times can be admired, touched and sometimes even tried out. Music from the era is played on an old funnel gramophone, creating a unique nostalgic atmosphere in combination with numerous accessories. A journey through time in nine stages awaits you: Learn about the dynamics of an ingenious idea, its socio-political relevance and the technical progress it entailed.
After your visit to the museum, the historic, dreamy alleyways of the old town of Ybbs invite you to take a stroll.
The bicycle museum is one of the treasures of the Nibelungengau. All other treasures full of enjoyment, variety and the best views can be discovered at www.nibelungengau.at!
