In addition to an existing e-bike charging station, an e-filling station has now also been installed. Roman Horvath comments: "The logical consequence of our sustainability concept and an appropriate response to the signs of the times." Last year alone, the number of new registrations of purely electric cars tripled. "The sooner we set the course for the future, the better. Sooner or later, e-charging stations will become a normal service for customers." The one at Domäne Wachau, which was installed by EVN, is equipped with two DC charging points, each of which can charge up to 75 kW. The electricity for this comes from 100 percent renewable energy.
The charging process for a range of one hundred kilometers takes just 15 minutes - time that can be spent at leisure in the Domäne Wachau wine shop, where numerous regional specialties are offered in addition to the full range of wines.

Craftsmanship, terroir and precision form the foundation of Domäne Wachau under the management of Roman Horvath MW and Heinz Frischengruber. In close cooperation with their Wachau winegrowers, respect for nature and the soil dominates the strenuous work on the steep slopes. With over 150 hectares of organic vineyards, Domäne Wachau is the most important winery in Austria with organically cultivated vineyards. With a small structure and largely by hand, the winegrowers work an average of less than two hectares - with full focus on each individual vine. The wines from large vineyards such as Achleiten, Brandstatt and Kellerberg reflect their unique origins and stand for an unmistakable purist style with depth and drinkability. A cooperative rethought.
In the modernly designed vinotheque you will find the entire range of our wines as well as interesting facts about viticulture, culture and tradition of the region. From Steinfedern and Federspiele to grandiose Smaragd wines, all our top wines can be tasted here and purchased at farm-gate prices. Cellar tour & wine tasting
Explore the baroque cellar vaults under the Dürnsteiner Kellerschlössel and find out what makes the Wachau so exceptional as a wine-growing region. During the subsequent tasting, you will discover the special features of Steinfeder, Federspiel and Smaragd as well as the Wachau grape varieties.
