    Roadbook

Our DUR begins at the parking lot of the Benedictine Abbey Melk and leads us over the stairs, where we keep left, to a barrier. Here we hike a few meters uphill to the right of Stiftsberg before entering the stairs to the old town on the left. Upon reaching the old town, we walk along the pedestrian zone to the right and shortly afterwards turn left into Bahngasse. We follow the path to the train station and take the underpass to get to the other side of the station. The signs direct us to turn left towards the state road, where we turn right and follow the path past the barracks and nursing home to the sports center. Here we turn left and hike over the Kupferschmied cross to Winden. We take the following crossing path to the left and immediately right again to get through a forest area to Kollapriel. From there, we walk a bit on the state road before we turn left into the next forest at the next opportunity and take the forest path leading to Pöverding. At the chapel in Pöverding, we turn right and then immediately left again, following the path straight towards Schrattenbruck. Shortly before Schrattenbruck, we take the right dirt path that ends in a forest and leads us to a hill in front of Anzendorf. We follow the forest edge and at the next opportunity turn left and hike to Anzendorf. At the state road before Anzendorf, we walk left and then immediately right into the village, passing the chapel and turning left to climb up towards Schallaburg. After the ascent, we reach Renaissance castle Schallaburg, where annually changing exhibitions and a castle restaurant (entry fee required) invite you to rest. Our path continues past parking lots 1-3; at parking lot 4 we turn right and then keep left. After passing through a hollow way, we head left towards Langwies and then immediately right on a forest path to Steinparz. The pilgrimage church Maria Steinparz is a popular pilgrimage site and only two minutes’ walk away. Back on the DUR, our path leads over the state road into a forest path that takes us to Sooß. After crossing the next state road, we walk straight until shortly before Sooß castle and turn left. We follow the path and finally reach Schollach and a hill near Löbersdorf. Here we turn left and follow the state road a few meters before entering a dirt path that leads us to the right to Inning. At the first houses in Inning, we walk left to the next junction, where we keep right and reach the state road, which leads us on the left side to the chapel in Inning.
