We begin our DUR at Schlossplatz in Karlstetten and pass through a settlement until we enter the forest. Through the forest nature trail we reach Doppel, from where we follow densely wooded paths to the Silberne Birn junction. From here it is just a few meters to Silberne Birn and the Salzburg stone. This spot in the middle of the forest invites you to linger. This absolute quiet is almost eerie. Back on the DUR, we continue left and pass numerous ant hills before reaching the chapel "Zur Toten Frau". From here we walk downhill to Oberbergern, where in the village before the stream bridge we turn left and reach the village hall.
