Sometimes it can be a little more. More hospitality. More home cooking. And more on the plate. The portions at Gasthaus zum braunen Hirschen in Freundorf in the district of Tulln are designed to satisfy the big appetite. Host Wolfgang Renner and his family focus on home-style cooking. Game, lamb and beef from the region are among the highlights of the menu. The baked venison schnitzel or the Beiried schnitzel with porcini mushroom sauce, homemade noodles and glazed carrots make a great addition to the country house cuisine. Vegetarian dishes are also very popular at the inn. Always a good choice: the delicious nougat dumplings with apricot sauce.
A cultivated atmosphere in the inn
The Gasthaus zum braunen Hirschen has a mixed clientele. Regulars, fans of local pub cuisine and day-trippers all enjoy the friendly atmosphere in the pub. The traditional establishment has been around since 1854 and has a rustic ambience. Dark and light wooden elements alternate in the rooms. The ballroom with its stage is a popular venue for celebrations. Ideal for wedding parties or larger family celebrations. For smaller gatherings, there is an extra room, two parlors and the Schanigarten in the inner courtyard. The service staff are friendly and quick. The culinary offer is complemented by "DIE GARTEN TULLN" and the Egon Schiele Museum.
