The history of the Gasthaus zum goldenen Kreuz in Feuersbrunn begins in 1896, when it was first a rudimentary village inn and rest stop for wagon drivers, then under Isabella and Gerhard Bauer it became a popular place for fine dining. Since 1994, the two innkeepers have focused on hospitality, Austrian specialties and delicacies from the Wagram region. The fine, fruity wines from the family vineyard enjoy an excellent reputation. Seasonal delicacies include game and goose dishes. Onion roast with roast potatoes can be found on the menu all year round. A good choice. The roast carp with wild garlic or asparagus risotto also impresses with its freshness and quality. The desserts are dominated by Feuersbrunn pancakes with apricot jam, nuts and chocolate sauce.

Delicacies from Feuersbrunn

Culinary guests of the Bauer family are on the safe side. The time-honored tradition of the Gasthaus zum goldenen Kreuz and the always friendly service staff promise an all-round satisfying stay. The inn itself offers many classic elements: a rustic tavern, a Jägerstüberl, an extra room and a banqueting hall that can seat around 200 people. The terrace in the inner courtyard is small, refined and intimate. On balmy summer nights, time flies by here over a glass or two. Excursion destinations in the region include Grafenegg Castle and the famous wine cellar lane in Feuersbrunn.
