The family business Weinbau Mösslinger combines tradition, closeness to nature and innovation amidst the picturesque vineyards of the Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German) around Stratzing. The Mösslinger family has been cultivating their vineyards since the 1950s - and under the management of Christian Mösslinger, the business has been continuously developed and modernized.
The vineyards cover well-known sites such as the Stratzinger Galgenberg, the Kremser Weinzierlberg, the Loiserweg, Satzen and Hochsatzen. Loess and clay soils, often interspersed with mineral-rich rock, shape the character of the wines. The focus is on Grüne Veltliner, accompanied by other white wines such as Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc and Müller-Thurgau.
The winery also has a cozy wine tavern where guests can enjoy the wines directly on the farm. Homemade specialties and regional dishes are served to go perfectly with the wines. Here, wine tasting is combined with culinary enjoyment in a relaxed atmosphere.
The quality of the wines is regularly confirmed by awards, for example at the AWC Vienna. The commitment of the younger generation is also particularly noticeable, as they set new impulses with a great deal of creativity and lead the business into an exciting future.
