The boat landing stage at Spitz 15 is located on the left bank of the Danube, directly opposite, just a few minutes' walk across the B3 Danube main road to the Spitz tourist information office, restaurants and accommodation.
Spitz was originally built around the 1000-Eimerberg vineyard, from whose grapes excellent wines are still produced today. But the surrounding vineyards and the Spitzer Graben also promise the highest level of wine enjoyment every year. Taste these fine wines from the Spitzer vineyards at the numerous wine taverns or in one of the inns and restaurants and enjoy typical Wachau delicacies. Visit the historic town center with its beautiful church and Spitz Castle, climb the steps to the keep of the ruins and enjoy the view of the surrounding vineyards and the town from the Red Gate. A visit to the shipping museum in Erlahof Castle is an insider tip, and not just in rainy weather.
