Our farm is located at the beginning of the Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German) wine-growing region. It combines the winegrowing region of the Wachau with the typical Waldviertel landscape of deeply incised river valleys, structured by forest and rock. The combination of the cool air currents of the Bohemian Massif and the mild temperatures of the Danube region, together with the Gneiss weathered soils, creates ideal conditions for wines with a distinctive character.
Due to our long roots, our family has developed a great deal of knowledge in dealing with the local steep slopes. We observe, live in and with nature, we are >wine farmers< with heart and soul. The tension between generations of experience and our curiosity about everything worth knowing has created a living, meaningful tradition. We see ourselves as craftsmen, as mountain winegrowers with a past and a present.
