Mountain biking in the Wachau World Heritage Site

With vineyards as far as the eye can see and marvellous views of the blue Danube, you can explore the warming sunshine and dry trails around the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau from April until late October. While classic all-mountain tours can be found on the north side of the Danube, you can look forward to enduro action around Göttweig Abbey. Mountain bikers of all levels will find their ideal route here!

On the border between the Waldviertel and Mostviertel regions, the climate around the Danube is very temperate - dry and sometimes rugged trails on the southern side of the mountain slopes, lots of forest floor and earth in the north. A new MTB network has been opened in the region around the Jauerling. The tours are characterised by a colourful and varied mix. The 20 MTB tours, from easy to difficult, with breathtaking views, varied routes in a unique landscape are a true Eldorado for mountain bikers.
