Our one-hectare estate is located at the foot of Schönbühel Castle, directly on the Danube. Schönbühel is part of the beautiful Wachau region and only a three-minute drive from Melk. Both Linz and Vienna are an hour's drive away.
Excursion destinations include Melk Abbey, Schallaburg Castle, the ruins of Aggstein Castle, Aggsbach Charterhouse, the Wachau, the Dunkelsteinerwald forest, the Waldviertel and Mostviertel regions and Vienna (80 km away). We are also the ideal starting point for hiking along the Way of St. James and the Welterbesteig Wachau - Wachau World Heritage Trail.
