Donauschlössel-Graben Gritsch

This winery is old, its vineyards probably even older. The Gritsch family is continuing work that began generations ago. They are committed to this tradition, but experiment where it makes sense and modernize where they hope to make qualitative progress. "Preserving what is valuable and creating something new" is the promising leitmotif. The Spitzer Graben, with its centuries-old stone terraces, cool winds and cold nights, naturally has a significant influence on the character of the wines. A carefully balanced interplay between man, soil and vine, as well as the necessary patience and time, results in unmistakable, crystal-clear, healthy and digestible wines. These can now be tasted not only at the winery, but also at the family-owned wine tavern Donauschlössel in Spitz.

Since 2018, the Gritsch family has also been running a cozy guesthouse with 11 rooms as well as an inviting wine tavern with a panoramic terrace and fine delicacies made from the best local produce.
