The friendly town, known for its "Mannersdorfer limestone", nestles against the wooded slopes of the Leitha Mountains. Empress Maria Theresa was a regular guest at the baths, and during the summer months she liked to reside in the castle. The thermal sports pool with children's pool, 1 and 3 m diving boards and 40 m water slide makes Mannersdorf a popular destination for families. Well-marked hiking trails in unspoiled nature (e.g. Mannersdorfer Wüste Nature Park), excellent restaurants and wine taverns invite you to linger. Those interested in culture will find highly interesting archaeological finds, a stonemason's section and minerals and fossils from the Leitha Mountains in the Mannersdorf Museum. Paintings by the artist Edmund Adler can also be viewed in a gallery.
