The municipality of Haslau-Maria Ellend in the district of Bruck an der Leitha lies in the middle of the Donau-Auen National Park. Pilgrimage to the church and Lourdes grotto
Maria Ellend is an old Marian pilgrimage site on the Bundesstraße 9 - and is known far beyond its borders for its pilgrimage church to Our Lady of the Rosary. Opposite the church is the romantic Lourdes Grotto: surrounded by a four-hectare wooded park with a Stations of the Cross and several small chapels, the grotto offers enough space for larger celebrations. The pilgrimage park invites visitors to reflect and relax.
