The 3rd stage of the Apricot Mile West starts in Oberanrsdorf and leads through beautiful apricot gardens to the landing stage of the roller ferry and back to Oberarnsdorf.
Austria's largest apricot-growing community, the municipality of Rossatz-Arnsdorf, lies on the southern bank of the Danube in the heart of the Wachau. It is not only wine that characterizes this landscape. After centuries of cultivation, the Wachau apricot is a popular crop. With the apricot mile, the apricot growers try to bring the topic closer to hikers.It is divided into a western part (St. Johann-Bacharnsdorf) and an eastern part (Rührsdorf-Rossatzbach). The so-called Salettl in Oberarnsdorf is the starting point of the circular walk.
