Our farm in Oberndorf am Jauerling is located directly below the summit plateau in an idyllic village surrounded by woods and meadows with a wonderful view.
At 960 meters above sea level, the Jauerling is the highest elevation directly on the Danube. The Wachau's local mountain offers numerous leisure activities at any time of year. Whether hiking on the World Heritage Trail, climbing the Jauerling viewing platform, cycling and MTB tours, visits to wine taverns, an adventure day at the Hubhof, exploring the ruins in Spitz, a boat trip on the Danube or skiing at the nearby ski lift, there is plenty of variety. Or you can spend your day at our farm, enjoying the peace and quiet and the view.
We offer lovingly renovated private rooms in country house style with solid wood furniture. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom and a small kitchenette. There is either a small fridge in the room or a shared one in the lounge area for cooling food you have brought with you. A rich breakfast with regional delicacies can be booked on request.
On the farm you can help us look after our small animals such as rabbits, chickens and ducks and fetch your own breakfast egg from the chicken enclosure.
