"Grapes - and nothing else!" is the motto of the MAYER+MAYER balsamic vinegar factory, a small family business in Krems an der Donau. This means that only organic grapes from Lower Austria, which we source from our long-standing partners, are used in our balsamic vinegars. Additives such as sugar and flavorings have no place in our purely natural products - and you can taste it! Quality is our top priority, at an affordable price for everyday cooking.
VELTSAM is a word and figurative mark derived from the words "Veltliner Balsamico". Balsamic vinegar is characterized by its unique balance between acidity and sweetness. Vinegar is not only a taste sensation, it is also healthy. Thanks to its low pH value, vinegar has a detoxifying, disinfecting and antipyretic effect and aids digestion. Despite its acidity, it produces alkaline reactions in the body and has a positive effect on the acid-base ratio.
You won't find our products, which are handmade with a lot of time and love, in supermarkets, but you can find them in our online store and of course on site. Here, our guests can also sample our products and find out more about the background and production.
