Our farm has now been around for over a hundred years, and the terraces in the Kalkofen and on the Zornberg have been in the family for even longer. Wine has always been an essential part of our history and when the grandparents' and parents' generation lived at Gut am Steg, it became even more important. We bottled our first wine in 1982. We gradually developed into a company with our own bottling facilities and today, depending on the year, we have around 10 wines in our range. Our cultivation is close to nature and where we think it makes sense, we borrow measures from biological or organic viticulture. Because one thing is certain: only healthy grapes allow us to continue working in the cellar with little intervention and ultimately ensure wholesome, high-quality and terroir-specific wines.
