Weingut F.X. Pichler

Around 18 hectares of vineyards are planted with around 52 percent Grüne Veltliner, the majority planted with Franz Pichler senior's selection of vines, around 47 percent Riesling and around 1 percent Sauvignon Blanc. A good 45 percent of the vineyards are steep primary rock terraces that can only be worked by hand. The rest of the vineyards are located at the foot of the vineyards and in the plain of the Loibner basin between Dürnstein and Rothenhof, at the eastern end of the Wachau.
