There you cycle along the Iron Curtain Trail (EV13) and cross the March at Devinska Nova Ves back into Austria. Then you cycle directly past Hof Castle and then again northwards back to Marchegg station.
Author’s recommendation
On this pleasant route, Marchegg Castle and Hof Castle invite you to visit. You can also visit the stork colony in Marchegg.
Along the Schlösserreich cycle paths, artfully designed rest stops invite you to linger, discover, and solve puzzles. They offer exciting insights into history, routes, and excursion tips – and bring a piece of castle culture into the open nature. Two of these rest stops can be found on this route right next to Marchegg Castle (west side) and at the foot of Hof Castle (east side outside the castle grounds on the cycle path to the Bridge of Freedom) – including puzzle fun for young and old!
