From the pilgrimage site Maria Laach we travel via forest roads to the "Venus place" Willendorf. There we visit the find site and the museum of the world-famous "Venus of Willendorf". Then we pass numerous apricot and vineyards to Schwallenbach, from where we head back to Maria Laach via a wild romantic unpaved road. Upon arrival, we climb quiet forest roads up the Hochjauerling, which offers us a fantastic view of the Danube valley. We then go into the Spitzer Graben, where we admire the steep vineyard terraces, before heading back towards Jauerling to the Nonnersdorfer Kreuz. From there, we travel along quiet villages and paths, which repeatedly offer views of the Danube valley, back to Maria Laach.
