The versatile long-distance trail Kremstal-Donau runs a total of 98.4 kilometers between Wachau and Kamptal. Along the picturesque route, idyllic nature connects with fine cuisine and regional culture, crowned by numerous excursion destinations. From the magnificent Göttweig Abbey to the Senftenberg ruin, to wine experience worlds and forest educational trails – the hike offers plenty of interesting highlights. Divided into 15 easy to moderate stages, each four to 18 kilometers long, the hike is also ideal for families and sporty hiking novices. The hilly landscape can be explored by young and old alike and repeatedly entices with exciting stopovers. More time should be planned per stage so that the impressive sights along the way can be explored at a leisurely pace. From Vienna via the A22 and the S5 to Krems. From the A1 West Autobahn from St. Pölten via the S33 to Krems. From the A1 West Autobahn to Melk and then on the B3 to Krems (through the Wachau).
