The hike from Hollenburg to Gedersdorf initially runs directly along the Danube. The special atmosphere created by the river during the first kilometers of the stage is only surpassed by the following floodplain landscape. The route continues in a wild romantic way through the idyllic floodplain to the village of Theiß; then across fields and orchards to Brunn im Felde. Shortly after, the stage destination Gedersdorf is reached. Heuriger here invite you to regional specialties. With a fantastic view of the wine terraces descending to the Danube, the well-deserved snack tastes all the better.
Author’s recommendation
Enjoy your hike gastronomically as well! The Heuriger culture has a long tradition in the Kremstal, where you can enjoy regional specialties by the glass and on the plate. The Kremstal DAC stands for spicy Grüner Veltliner and elegant, mineral Rieslings. Find out when and where the Heurigers are open in the Heurigen calendar!
