    Interesting facts

Maria Langegg: Around 1600, the Salzburg archbishop’s administrator Matthäus Häring founded a chapel and the image of grace after the miraculous healing of his child. Since the times of the great plague epidemics, the “Austrian help and healing mountain” has been regarded as a religious center and refuge for the sick and distressed. For 330 years the Servites cared for the pilgrims. They built the monastery and the late Baroque pilgrimage church "Maria, Healing of the Sick“.
